Since its inception in 1992 the Construction Skills Training Centre or CSTC as it is more widely known has become the first port of call for those seeking a viable career in the construction industry. The CSTC has over 5000 graduates from it various training courses in WA each year and more than 6000 businesses, including local councils regularly use their training programs. The training centre has over 40 courses on offer.
Set on over 10,000 square metres in Welshpool the CSTC boasts 10 classrooms to conduct theory based courses as well as modern equipped yard space. It is one of the few training centres in Australia to have a giant Potain tower crane on site.
This is not a ‘pretend training centre’. When you participate in a course you can expect to be quality trained using the best equipment that is used out there on the actual job and be trained by professionals who have had real world experience. This is what sets the CSTC apart and the reason why the CSTC is considered an industry leader in construction training.
Apart from practical applications, the CSTC also provides theoretical as well as safety awareness and safety training related to many of its courses.
ALL members are entitled to a 20% course discount however, if your current employer has a registered EBA agreement in WA and is paying the training levy, courses are FREE. White Card Safety courses are FREE to all members.
